Manzano went a step further than middle distance teammate Brown, shattering the 42-year-old UT school record by Richard Romo (Los Angeles All Comers, 3:58.8 – hand timed) and the 8-year old Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Mike A. Myers Stadium records (Seneca Lassiter, Arkansas, 3:59.09). Manzano blazed the track in three minutes, 56.98 seconds en route to earning 2008 Texas Relays Most Outstanding Performer for his two record-setting performances. Manzano ran the third leg of the school-record 4x800-meter relay from Thursday’s evening session. Adding the pair of records from this weekend, he now holds four outdoor UT school best marks including the 1,500-meter run and the distance-medley relay. Read the full article at: www.texassports.com
